Hi, Friends. My name is Tracy Peterson, founder of EOWD Recruiting. EOWD stands for Exploring Our World Differently, representing a large part of my life as a parent to a non-verbal person with autism. Raising a person with special needs can significantly impact every area of a family's life. While no two families' needs will ever be exactly alike, my personal experience led me to seek opportunities with work-life balance at a time before remote jobs were a thing, let alone part of a mainstream option for those individuals and employers, that remote jobs are possible and make sense.
When my children were little, and I mean babies, I drove a school bus. While it was not a glamorous role, and the pay could have been better, it was a position with perks. The company I worked for allowed its drivers to bring their children on bus runs. This significant benefit allowed me to earn a paycheck without needing a babysitter and gave me the home-life time I needed as a parent of youngsters.
When all my kids were school-age, I began finding opportunities and positions that worked around their schedules. Independent Contract sales roles and Mystery Shopping led me to retail Data Collection with a flexible schedule, leading me to my first 100% work-from-home position as a Scheduler.
When I finally returned to college as a late-in-life student, I found my passion for the solar industry. A part-time in-store lead generation position quickly led to another 100% work-from-home role as a Sourcing Specialist, ultimately leading to my Recruiting and Talent Acquisition career!
In between, and since then, I have dabbled in affiliate marketing and dropshipping, have been a gig-service provider, and am even a content creator publishing low-content books with high-content books on the way! I am an open-minded, outside-the-box thinker and creator blessed with circumstances that guided me to explore our world differently in every aspect of my life, especially my career.
When it all comes down to it, I am a Recruiter. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and learning about their work experience and what they seek in their next role. There is no greater career joy for me than matching a job seeker to an opportunity or position that makes a positive difference in their life. Due to personal life experiences that I may dive deeper into later, my passions include social and environmental well-being. My experience as a Recruiter began in retail, merchandising, and mystery shopping. My Talent Acquisition expertise is in driving and transportation, roofing and construction, and the renewable and solar industry. I have matched incredible talent in roles spanning Independent Contributor to Director-Level roles, Independent Contract/Freelancers to W2 Employees, and Administrative Assistants to Warehouse Specialists.
